There Are No Bounds (A Love Poem)

It doesn’t fit in a silver locket,
It won’t fit in my sweater’s pocket.
Contained in a house, it couldn’t be,
Bridled like a stallion, no siree.

Too large to put into a pack,
Wouldn’t fit at all into a sack.
Couldn’t get your arms around it,
Even a crowd couldn’t surround it.

Bigger than the Montana skies,
More warmth than the sun supplies.
Sweeter than fields of blooming flowers,
And stronger than super hero powers.

Better than a hot fudge sundae,
Fresher than rain on a summer’s day.
Significance that rivals most everything.
Nothing’s more important, nothing.

My love for you holds no measure,
No height or depth, nor priceless treasure.
It won’t fit in my sweater’s pocket,
It doesn’t fit into a locket.
